“Egg” is the name of a fictional sports, which seems to use real eggs and be fought in group. The story portrays group of men who fight in this sports to attend Olympic game. Behind, there lies politics and economics to make use of its popularity. There is also a love story begins at the refurbished theatre. The usher finds a hand written unfinished script by Terayama Shuji, a legendary late poet in Japan. She gives it to the Artistic Director of the Theatre. While he reads it, the story takes place on stage. It begins as a contemporary drama around “Egg” sports, but later it turns out that the setting is around the time of Tokyo Olympic Game in 1964. Then, gradually “Egg” reveals its another face which bears dark history of Japanese military on the Chinese continent at World War Ⅱ…. “Egg” goes back and forth, from the present to 1960 Tokyo, and to 1940 Manchuria.
